Lake Kaitalampi in Espoo, Finland, is one of my standard photographic destinations. This time I visited it with my friend and colleague Peter Perry. We had such a great outdoors day!

I have shot this little pine countless times over the years. It just keeps growing!

Spring has come to Hankasalmi, Finland. Among other living creatures, wolf spiders (Lycosidae) enjoy sunny weather and start going about their business of the season (eating and dating). 

Last weekend, I had a few hours to spend in Paris. Following the tradition of some of the greatest classical photographers, such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, I walked around and took photos. Of course, my equipment was not Rolleiflex, and my pictures not as profound, but I did have a lot of fun.

I attended a mathematical research workshop in Luminy, near Marseille, France. One afternoon was free of programme, and I took the opportunity to walk to the Mediterranean shore. Here are the pictorial results.

The city of Porvoo, Finland, was founded in 1346. The old wooden centre is beautifully kept both inhabited and looking like it was some 150 years ago. Old Porvoo is one of my favorite destinations for photographic walks. Here is a wintery take on the city.

My friend Max sings in a rock group called Maximum Kayal. They had a gig yesterday in Helsinki, and I wanted to test how well is my Fujifilm X100s suited for rock photography. Well, I am pretty pleased with the results, and you can judge for yourself!
